HoundDogs take part in joint training

Sunday the 7th of October saw 15 players from the Hounddogs Youth team join up with teams from Kent Phoenix and East Kent Mavericks in a joint training exercise arranged by SEYAF. There were almost 50 players from the 3 teams, along with 8 coaches all working together to improving American Football in the South East of England.

The players were split into their positional groups and coaches from all three teams were assigned different groups to work with on fundamentals and skills. The HoundDogs were then joined by the Kent Phoenix to take part in a scrimmage against the Mavericks.

All players took part in the scrimmage which gave some of the newer players from each squad a lot of valuable game time.

All players gained a lot from the day and it’s something that the teams and SEYAF are planning to do on a more regular occasion.
