Chairman Luke Boorer added “I am very proud of these lads. The boys all want to have the best training equipment possible and these six have gone on to try and make this possible. All of them ran very well and took on the challenge as a fitness workout rather than a punishment or chore. The event has raise nearly £200 for the club which will go toward getting some new training aids to help all the players with their development. The lads all seemed to enjoy the event and hopefully, we will be back next year with a full team of runners.”

Luke Boorer then added “We would like to thank all the Committee and Coaches who have given up hours of their lives to help these kids achieve their goals and the goals of the club over the last 12 months. Without these people working tirelessly the club would not have the footing that it does today.   We would also like to thank the parents who get players to tournaments to represent the club.  Personally I love the Award evening. It’s a great time to celebrate all the successes that the players have achieved over the last year. It’s hard to single out just four players from each team. All the players have given so much and I believe they all deserve an award or at least a mention, but unfortunately that is not possible. We return to training this week and we have had lots of email and messages from potential new players, which is exciting as we look to expand the club.
